Who can apply?

Key conditions include eligible nationality outside the European Union (EU) / European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland and Surinam; no disqualifying dual EU/EEA or Swiss nationality; age no higher than 35 on 1 September 2027; and a participating full-time master’s. Prior degree-seeking study in the Netherlands is excluded, with an exchange exception. UM requires at least 7.5/10 or its stated equivalent for your grading system, with official evidence. Read its complete criteria before paying an application fee.

Prepare the right file

  1. Check the current eligible-programme list and admission requirements. Complete the course file first.
  2. Prepare the prescribed motivation template, curriculum vitae (CV), academic/grading records, financial-needs statement and eligible reference letter/contact details. Use UM’s exact checklist.
  3. Submit one complete scholarship application. Do not rely on replacing documents after submission.

Our practical check: budget for flights and any excluded charges before treating this as a zero-cost move. Read the allocated-room conditions before accepting; the scholarship does not provide family accommodation. Ask UM about any unclear cost or document rule, rather than guessing from another applicant’s experience.
